1. What do you appraise?

We appraise all jewelry, gemstones, and watches

2. Why is it important to know the purpose of an appraisal?

Every appraisal is for a specific purpose. If you want an insurance appraisal, you need to insure your jewelry for enough money to buy a replacement from the type of store you typically shop from. If you need an estate appraisal, there are government regulations that specify the definition of value that must be used. There are many types of appraisals and the purpose determines the definition of value.

3. Do you buy and sell jewelry?

No, we do not. We are an independent appraisal lab and do not want to compete with jewelers.

4. Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Please schedule a meeting with one of our gemologists and/or jeweler for an appraisal.

5. How long do you take to carry out the work?

Most items can be done same day, some require further testing which can take up to a day or two.

6. Do I need an appraisal updated?

Yes, the value of diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals are constantly changing, and reflecting the true value of the item is very important.
